Ron Fisher

I received this yesterday from Ron’s son. Would anyone like to go?

Dear Roger
I wanted to drop you a line to let you know that sadly my father, Ron Fisher, passed away on Saturday in Bournemouth Royal Hospital.  I’m writing this from his email address, but mine is cc’d in.
You’ll know that dad was a huge Landrover enthusiast and both him and my mum had many wonderful days with your club.  Thanks for all you do to make this possible.
His funeral is to be held on Thursday 3rd January, 3pm at the Longbarrow, Harbour View Woodland Burial Ground, Poole, BH16 6AN.  I thought I’d share those details just in case anyone from the club wanted to attend.  We are doing flowers as a family and asking anyone who wants to contribute anything to donate to HASAG.co.uk. HASAG are the charity that support people who have contracted the kind of cancer he had, following exposure to asbestos.
Finally, we will have a scale model of his landrover on his coffin on the day and he is being cremated in his favourite landrover T shirt.  Forgive me if that is a bit too much information, verging on the morbid, but I thought you’d like to know as a fellow “defender of the faith”.
Kind regardsGiles Fisher
