St Peter is on gate duty…
“Next”
Mortal #1 steps up.
“What car did you drive on Earth?” asks SP
“Pajero” answers the mortal.
“Down to hell for you, fella-me-lad” says Pete
Mortal #2 comes forward
“What did you drive on Earth, then?” asks the big P
“A Landcruiser, Sir” replies the slightly worried dead’un
“Going down” chuckles Petie-Boy
The 3rd man, covered in oil with cuts to his hands steps gingerly forwards
“So,” asks St Peter “What sort of car did you drive?”
“Er, a Land Rover” comes the shaky reply
“Welcome to Heaven, my good man.” says Pete
The LR driver is slightly confused: “I thought I was in trouble there. What gives?”
St Peter smiled and said: “You’ve already been through Hell.

Big thanks to all the guys that gave up their Sunday to come & do a bit of driver training at Matchams today.

I hope the trainees learnt something. Confidence was certainly better by the end of the day.

I only took a few pics of Teresa stuck!

Hi

Please click on Master 2013 to view the full results for the league for 2013. Well done to everyone who took part in a great and in some cases ‘close’ year of trialling.  A huge thank you to Marshalls, setter uppers, rescuers and to those of you that have kindly stayed behind after to dismantle the sections – many hands make light work 🙂

Here’s to the 2014 season which starts Sunday 5th January at Matchams, what a ‘cracker’ of a site to start the year with and don’t forget the annual prize giving dinner on Saturday 18th January, not just for triallers, it’s a great chance to get the whole club together for a good old knees up – What else would you possibly want to do!!!!  Details will be in the forthcoming magazine or contact Social Secretary, Teresa Heath for further details.

Thanks again, Caz

Hi All,

Ah!! Nearly forgot.  Thanks to Jeremy Bell from S&DLRC informing me that the gate at Creech Grange, adjacent to the car-park, (viewpoint) has been locked.

Access is currently only available to walkers and cyclists.

I have contacted Dorset County Council’s Rights of Way Team and the person I spoke to has given me an incident number.  They informed me they will deal with it and contact me once it has been resolved.

I have physically checked the gates today and this is the only one that is locked; the padlock they have used is not an exempted key-holders padlock..

Any questions please do not hesitate to contact me either on 07768 585081 or leave a comment and I will get back to you.

Many Thanks

Jim

Looks like a 1, 2, 3 in class 11 by Dorset Land Rover Club.  Looks like those modifications paid off.

Also seems Ron scored 0 for the sections he didn’t enter rather than 12 so didn’t actually do too badly!
